Well, only 41 more days until the election is here. Then we can finally stop seeing all those damn political ads. I am already very tired of seeing them all. Franken, Coleman, Obama, McPalin. I am voting for two of the aforementioned people, but that doesnt mean that I want to continue to see their ads on TV.
Personally, I dont pay any attention to any of them anyways. Even the "honest" ads are really only partially true anyways. Its more about mud slinging now that actual problems. The one candidate that I have seen actually run good ads so far is Ashwin Madia who is running for US Representative. Unfortunately, he is running in another district and I cannot vote for him. I still hope he wins.
Is it just me, or does it seem that for each day that passes is there another stupid thing that happened in Alaska ( and approved or lobbied for by Palin) come out? The other day it was her town charging women for their own rape kits, now its the stupid bridge to nowhere that became the road of uselessness. I read that even the locals there dont think the road is needed and will most likely not use it. What a great use of $233M dollars Sarah. Way to stand against the useless Washington establishment and fight against pork barrel ear marks. Make sure you mention the useless road when you keep giving your line about being against the bridge to nowhere.
John McCain use to stand for something also. Eight years ago had he beaten W in the primaries, I may have voted for him. Now, he has just become a nonsensical moron who cannot make up his mind on whether to be a puppet of the right wing to win some votes, or to be a puppet to big oil and wall street to keep his pocket full.
I am an Obama supporter, have been since he first announced he was running. He may not be the perfect candidate for president, but no politician really is most of the time. Obama to me seems the only real option if we want to have public schools, health care, an active strong economy, or any respect around the world.
